Welcome to Seven Rangers Nursing Institute

Seven Rangers Institute of Nursing in Dankuni, Hooghly, West Bengal, offers General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) three-years course for female. The program is affiliated by I.N.C. and W.B.N.C. Presently, we have an intake capacity of 60 students. We plan to upgrade our courses from GNM Nursing to B.Sc. Nursing and M.Sc. Nursing in near future. At Seven Rangers Institute of Nursing, we help our students to build a healthy environment through quality education, keeping in mind the wellbeing of society. We recognize the importance of nursing in the health care system where we strive to develop an awareness of the significance of nursing in health field.

Course Offered


The B.Sc Nursing degree programme is a four year full time residential programme comprising eight semester, which prepares B.Sc. Nursing graduates qualified to practice nursing and mid-wifery in a variety as settings in either public / government or private healthcare settings. The programme prepares nurses and mid wives for general nursing including mid-wifery practice. Knowledge acquisition related to wellness, health promotion, illness, disease, management and care of dying is core to nursing practice.


The General Nursing and Midwifery course is a Full time residential diploma gprogram comprising 3 years including internship which prepares the nurses to practice nursing and midwifery in a varely of settings in either Government / Private health core settings. The Unique function of a nurse is to assist the individual, sick or well, in the programme of the activities contributing to health or its recovery (or to peaceful death). In order to provide qualitative nursing care there is a need to brain nursery effectively to work as a team number of health core delivery system.

Admission Form

Criteria for Admission

  • 12th pass with physics, chemistry, biology, age 17 to 35 years (only Female Candidate) and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, chemistry and Biology taken together and English individually.
  • Candidate shall be medically fit.
  • Married candidates are also eligible for admission.
  • Students shall be admitted once in a year.
  • Selection of candidates should be based an the merit of the entrance examination. (Entrance test comprise of : a) Aptitude for Nursing – 20 marks (b) Physics – 20 marks, (c) Chemistry 20 marks (d) Biology – 20 marks, (e) English – 20 marks.
  • Minimum qualifying marks for entrance test shall be 50% marks and conducted by University / state.


The objective of the institute is upliftment and empowerment for the women of the region by offering and providing professional education of Nursing.
